I am an experienced English language instructor, writer and knowledge-disseminator; academically inclined towards 'Literary Theory & Criticism' in the field of Language studies (with research interests spanning the entire discipline of the humanities at large). I am passionate about teaching and learning, and engaging with students who like to pose a challenging question or two regarding their studies, as well as any observable or abstract sociological phenomenon that they may be curious about.
As part of my teaching methodology, I firmly abide by the cardinal tutoring tenets of building strong conceptual foundations and inculcating a thorough appreciation for the scope and subtleties of the syllabus in the minds of my students - teaching goals further supplemented with rigorous past-paper Q & A drills designed to institute results-oriented study habits and proper time management skills.
In addition to my Language/Literature-related pursuits, I am an avid student of Political Theory, Philosophy and History, and enjoy interacting with fellow learners and trainers experienced in these fields. Above all, I am interested in making my students think critically and innovatively (without any fear of established dogma or doctrine - at least within my classes), because I believe that these libertarian character/mental-attributes are essential to the psychological well-being of a populace hopeful of progressing further in the generalized intellectual arena.
I have been teaching O & A-Levels English courses on a continual basis for the last few years, and am well-aware of their intricate subject matters and requirements for detailed, nuanced understandings of core curriculum objectives. In addition, I have accumulated several years of experience teaching Biology to O-Levels and Federal Board Matriculation students.
I look forward to connecting with students who may be struggling with their studies and/or exam preparations, or who may be in need of a timely nudge in the right direction.
